  • Carry-on baggage carried to the boarding area will be checked for a cost of $65 if it is your first or second checked bag and $180 if it is your third checked bag.
  • Bags checked at the gate will be stored in the cargo hold and picked up at the baggage carousel when you arrive at your destination.
  • Carry-on baggage must not exceed 22" L (55.88 cm) x 14" W (35.56 cm) x 9" H (with wheels and handles) (22.86 cm).

Seating policy for JetBlue :

Blue Basic seats can now be allotted through the GDS as of August 2021. The EMD will not appear in the agency PNR if a seat assignment is purchased directly with JetBlue. Customers who have purchased a Blue Basic seat can upgrade to an Even More® Space seat at any time by following the steps outlined above.

Request for an additional seat

Those who desire an open seat next to them for greater space between passengers can purchase an extra seat.

  • Follow the standard booking procedures, but add one extra person to your reservation.
  • Book the first seat with the name of the traveler, for example, SMITH/ROBERT. i.e., SMITH/EXST, book the second seat with your traveler's last name and 'EXST' as the first name.
  • In the GDS, select adjacent seat assignments to manage your booking.

Booking policy for JetBlue :

All reservations made on JetBlue Airways travel documents must adhere to JetBlue's Contract of Carriage and all applicable ticket rules. We will continue to supply information to our Agency Partners so that all GDS users use the same procedure when reserving space and issuing tickets for JetBlue customers. A debit memo will be issued for GDS practices that are determined to be in breach of JetBlue's regulations.

When to be ready for boarding?

Before 30 minutes before your flight's departure, you should be ready to board. You cannot be late because it will result in the cancellation of your flight or additional booking expenses. After all, you will have caused an unwarranted delay for all passengers.

1. Is it possible to add a carry-on bag to my Blue Basic ticket?

Ans: A Blue Basic price does not include a carry-on bag. Any carry-on luggage brought to the gate will be subject to a charge if not checked.

You can purchase an Even More Space seat if you have a Blue Basic fare but want to bring a carry-on bag onboard (subject to availability). Priority boarding, extra legroom, a carry-on bag with all fare options, and first access to overhead bins are all included with Even More Space seats.

2. Is a Covid test required to fly JetBlue?

Ans: The CDC has new entry criteria for air visitors to the United States that go into effect on December 6, 2021. Regardless of vaccination status, all customers 2 years of age and older must produce documentation of a negative COVID-19 test taken no more than 1 calendar day before departure.

3. What is the cheapest JetBlue flight day?

Ans: This holds for most American airlines, including JetBlue: Flights are cheapest on the following days: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays are the most ordinary days. JetBlue often limits travel on those days during their fare sales.

4. How do I contact someone at JetBlue?

Ans: JetBlue customer service can be reached by calling 800-538-2583 and speaking with a representative about new or existing flight reservations, vacation packages, TrueBlue account information, and other topics.
